New scenes are also shown of the epic scale of Villeneuve's film, including one in which it seems that the Atreides are on their way to Arakkis through the technique known as "space-folding," a process in which travelers can move through space-time in the blink of an eye. In addition to the footage of the Harkonnen's, various clips are shown of the Bene Gesserit, the Atreides, and the Fremen. In another scene, Bautista's Rabban can also be seen threatening to terrorize House Atreides in their new home. He can also be seen getting ready to take some sort of bath in a pool of what looks to be oil. Yeuh in one scene, floating above them ominously. The Baron can be seen speaking to both Piter and Chang Chen's Dr. Related: Why Dune Was Always Destined To Be A Divisive MovieĪ new featurette from Secrets of Dune highlights all of the royal houses and contains a ton of new footage, including new looks at House Harkonnen. David Dastmalchian plays twisted mentat Piter De Vries, while Dave Bautista plays the Baron's sadistic nephew, Glossu Rabban. House Harkonnen is led by Stellan Skarsgård's grotesque Baron Vladimir. Lastly, and quite possibly most importantly, is House Harkonnen, the mortal enemies of House Atreides and the former stewards of Arakkis. Arakkis is also home to the Fremen people, desert dwelling natives who are used to the inhospitable climate of the planet more than anyone else. The Atreides will come into conflict with several factions in the film, including the mysterious, all-female religious organization the Bene Gesserit, which Lady Jessica is a member of.
